Old York Garden Club Scholarship

The Old York Garden Club raises funds regularly to support this scholarship award. The recipient will be that student who shows outstanding achievement and promise in any of the allied plant sciences including, but not limited to:

Botany, conservation, ecology, environmental studies, forestry, horticulture, landscape design, or sustainable agriculture.

This scholarship is in memory of Marion Prince Hosmer and is typically a minimum of $1,000. It will be paid directly to your institution in your name.

The eligible applicant:
• must be a legal Maine resident;
• must be a full-time student majoring in any of the allied plant sciences or related degree programs; and
• must have completed at least one full year of study at an institution of higher learning in the state of Maine or at the University of New Hampshire.
Scholarship Amount: $2000

Step 2: Once you receive the confirmation email that we’ve received your application, reply to the email with a PDF copy of your transcript.

Step 3: Ask two people to be your references and have them submit a letter of recommendation for you by May 15, 2024 (extended from original deadline of April 30, 2024) using our online scholarship recommendation form.
