Business Programs Assistant

FAME is seeking a knowledgeable, driven, and compassionate individual to become part of the Business Team as a Business Programs Assistant. The primary responsibilities of this position include: providing direct customer service and program support to businesses and partner organizations of the Maine Funding Network and FAME Business Programs. Functional roles include Maine Funding Network program administration, customer case research and resolution, service to both external and internal customers, data management and reporting, document management, program originations and servicing, quality assurance and process improvements, and training of staff and program partners on a Salesforce-enabled platform.

Starting Salary Range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour

This position is a full-time permanent role with benefits.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education, experience and work requirements:

  • Two (2) year degree in related field is required or an appropriate combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related work experience required.
  • Proficiency within the Salesforce platform.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and effectiveness in interpersonal relations, strong oral and written communication, and the ability to train/coach colleagues. 
  • Strong computer, time management, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills are required, along with the ability to prioritize functions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Commercial Loan Assistant

FAME is seeking a knowledgeable, driven and compassionate individual to become part of the Business Team as a Commercial Loan Assistant. The individual in this position provides support and assistance to the loan officers for the commercial loan programs. This will include drafting authorizations, commitment letters, note revisions, extensions, etc. The position works closely with the legal department to obtain approval on documents created before they are provided to the lenders and/or borrowers. This role shall maintain credit files, essential document files, service accounts, and databases to ensure compliance with loan documentation and efficient administration of the programs. The individual will also be responsible for greeting and assisting customers on the phone, in person, or via email.  Ensure customer issues are handled in a timely and accurate manner with a high degree of professionalism resulting in customer satisfaction.

Starting Salary Range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour

Senior Accountant

FAME is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to become part of the Finance Team as a Senior Accountant. This position provides a variety of higher-level accounting services for the Authority, including preparing and posting journal entries, review of journal entries prepared by others, preparing account reconciliations, review of reconciliations prepared by others, preparing work papers for auditors, preparing financial forecasts and analyses, and working on special projects. The position includes working extensively with staff in other divisions to understand the Authority’s programs for ensuring proper and accurate accounting and financial data.

Starting Salary Range: $55,000 – $64,000 annually

This position is a full-time permanent role with benefits.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education, experience and work requirements:

  • Minimum of four (4) year college degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).
  • Minimum of three (3) years related work experience.
  • Knowledge of investment accounting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of general governmental accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply accounting principles and procedures in areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, general ledger, and monthly and yearly fiscal period closings.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems and spreadsheets. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations, and oral and written communication.
