Commercial Loan Assistant

FAME is seeking a knowledgeable, driven, and compassionate individual to become part of our business team as a Commercial Loan Assistant. The individual in this position supports and assists our Commercial Loan Officers with administering our commercial loan programs. This includes drafting authorizations, commitment letters, note revisions, extensions, etc. The position works closely with the legal department to obtain approval on documents before they are provided to lenders and/or borrowers. Additionally, this role maintains credit files, essential document files, service accounts, and databases to ensure compliance with loan documentation and efficient administration of the programs. The individual is also responsible for greeting and assisting customers on the phone, in person, or via email and handling customer issues in a timely, accurate manner with a high degree of professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction.

Starting Salary Range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour

This position is a full-time permanent role with benefits.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education, experience, and work requirements:

  • Minimum two-year college degree in business or two (2) years’ experience in a related field (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).  
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ related work experience in banking, commercial loan servicing or processing preferred.  
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer, time management, and problem-solving skills are required.  
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are required.
  • Must possess a positive, achievement-oriented attitude to build strong relationships with all partners, vendors, and staff.
  • Motivated self-starter with proven team-building skills.
