Social Media/Digital Marketing Interns
FAME is seeking dynamic and innovative student interns to develop social media content and perform additional digital marketing activities. These positions will work on projects to build FAME’s reputation and social media following and engagement, especially among Maine’s students and their families. Acting as content creators, digital marketing interns will produce, write, edit, and execute approved social media posts and other digital marketing content. Additional responsibilities include evaluating social media and digital marketing efforts. Interns will receive training in marketing, but we are seeking students with experience who are active and prolific in quality social media content production, especially on video platforms like You Tube Shorts, Tik Tok, and Instagram Stories.
These positions are paid internships and will be performed for 10-20 hours per week up to the end of 2023 calendar year and may include additional hours in the summer months. This position can be done remotely. This position does not include benefits. Projects include, but are not limited to, content and social media development, editing existing animated explainer videos, and repackaging existing content on other digital platforms.
Successful candidates must meet the following education and experience requirements:
- be current Maine high school juniors, seniors, or current college students, preferably enrolled in communications, marketing, business or related field in a Maine school or as a resident of Maine;
- have strong oral and written communication skills including proofreading and editing;
- possess social media content creation skills; FAME publishes on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube;
- ideally have strong social media following and existing relevant and quality social media content;
- must have strong computer skills with significant experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- be trained in or have experience with several of the following: social media production, video production, graphic design, writing, WordPress, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- have the ability to analyze digital marketing results and generally understand what affects social media algorithms;
- be a motivated self-starter with ability to work independently;
- have the ability to maintain confidentiality; and
- possess effective interpersonal skills.

Education Coordinator
FAME is seeking knowledgeable, driven and compassionate individuals to become part of the Education Team as an Education Coordinator. The primary responsibilities of this position include: triaging customer inquiries to determine their higher education access needs; delivering information about financial aid processes, FAME’s higher education access programs, services, and financing opportunities. This individual is also responsible for assisting in the assessment, evaluation and processing of FAME’s higher education access programs and financing opportunities such as the Maine Loan.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education, experience and work requirements:
- Minimum two-year college degree in liberal arts, social sciences, education, business or related field (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).
- Minimum of two (2) years related work experience in financial aid, higher education access, and/or private education loan lending or servicing preferred.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer, time management and problem-solving skills are required.
- Superior organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment are required.

Senior Commercial Loan Officer
FAME is seeking knowledgeable, driven and compassionate individual to become part of the Business Team as our Senior Commercial Loan Officer. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Overseeing business lending functions of the Business Division including management and supervision of the commercial loan officers. Assists in the development and implementation of new programs and assists in the development and promotion of new and existing products and services. Serves as the senior relationship manager for FAME’s commercial lending customers and agency partners. This role is the senior contact point for commercial lending customers, agency, and other partners, regarding potential credit requests to determine compliance with program parameters and credit policy. Works directly with the Director of Business and the CEO to accomplish the Authority’s overall mission.

- Four (4) year college required; preferably in business; background in management and finance plus specialized training in commercial lending (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in related field.
- Strong management skills, with experience in managing a team of commercial loan officers
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of lending policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and loan servicing systems and requirements.

Manager of Accounting and Finance
FAME is seeking knowledgeable, driven and compassionate individual to become part of the Finance Team as our Manager of Accounting and Finance. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Managing the accounting and financial functions of the organization and any affiliates under the direction of the Director of Finance. This involves working with all divisions to accomplish the objectives of the organization and any affiliates. Assists the Director in administering all accounting functions for the Authority including maintaining the general ledger, accounts receivable system, accounts payable system, payroll system, and subsidiary reconciliation for the organization and any affiliates.

- Four (4) year college degree in accounting; MBA or CPA preferred (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).
- Minimum of five (5) years work experience in related accounting and finance field.

- Ability to manage staff effectively; ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, Board members and other groups.
