Native American Waiver and Scholarship Program

Eligibility: Students who are on the tribal census of a federally recognized North American tribe or who have a parent or grandparent on the tribal census. Some residency requirements may apply.

Scholarship Amount: Varies - Waivers covering tuition and fees at UMaine System universities and scholarships subsidizing room and board charges at University of Maine System campuses which provide housing.

Native American Scholarship Program applications may be obtained from: Wabanaki Center Dunn Hall University of Maine Orono, Maine 04469 or: Financial Aid Office of the University of Maine System where student has applied. or on-line at www.naps.umaine.edu


Deadline Description: January 1st for Fall; September 1st for Spring
