The Geiger Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
The Geiger Scholarship offers financial support for students interested in expanding their educational horizons through off-island enrichment and travel experiences, including summer camp, semester study abroad, and gap year programs.To be eligible applicants must me one or more of the following:
• Middle school through college students living on one of Maine’s year-round, unbridged islands
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from the highest grade level available at your island school
• Magnet student with a demonstrated commitment to their island school and enrolled in at least their second year or have plans to return for a second year
