Wednesday Webinar – Tools and Resources to Support New Mainers

Date/Time
Date(s) - Wednesday January 13, 2027
1:00 pm

Location
Online

New Mainers play an important role in Maine’s economy, yet many face added barriers when pursuing education. These may include additional FAFSA steps, ineligibility for federal student aid, difficulty translating documents from their home country, and costs related to tests and licensing. In this webinar, we’ll share a tool for determining federal student aid eligibility, address common challenges facing families without Social Security numbers, review our new Mainer scholarship page, and highlight resources available to support individuals regardless of citizenship status. We hope you’ll join us!
