Many Maine students have an Alfond Grant and an education savings account through Maine’s 529 program, but they may not understand how these programs work. In this session, we’ll provide an overview of both programs, explain how they are connected, discuss what the funds can be used for, and review how to access the money when it’s time to pay for education and training expenses.
