Latest Federal Student Loan News & Time-Sensitive Parent PLUS Loan Update

Date/Time
Date(s) - Friday March 14, 2025
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Location
Online

We’ll provide a brief update on the latest news and legal action related to federal student loans. Following that update, we’ll spend much of the hour discussing how Federal Parent PLUS Loan borrowers can take advantage of the “double consolidation loophole.” This little-known consolidation option allows borrowers to access lower payment options that are typically unavailable.

It is important to note that the consolidation process can take several months, so starting now is crucial. You must complete the process by July 1, 2025, or you’ll miss out. This informative session will be presented by nationally recognized student loan expert, Betsy Mayotte and will be recorded for later viewing.
