National Guard Association of Maine Scholarship

Eligibility: Any dependent of a current EANGUS or NGAME member, who will be attending a college, university or technical school full time during the 2018/19 school year. Applicants who received a NGAME scholarship within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Applicant’s sponsor must be a current member of the Enlisted Association (EANGUS) or NGAME/NGAUS
• Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or better, with strong leadership qualities, work ethic and a proven commitment to family and community.
• Applicant must provide a copy of their acceptance letter to the college they are attending.

Scholarship Amount: Four scholarships will be awarded, each worth $500. The scholarships are not renewable.

How is this Awarded: Students submit a completed application and essay, which will be evaluated by a panel of judges. The 250-word essay will be titled, "Selfless Service and What It Means to Me." Background: both the Army and the Air Force teach and live by core values. One value that is shared with both services is “service before self” or selfless service.
