GEARUP Maine RISE scholarship is a one-time $750 scholarship available to students who participated in, and completed, the GEAR UP Maine RISE Program prior to high school completion.

Scholarship Amount: $750 one-time, single disbursement directly to the Institution of Higher Education. Scholarship must be used by age 22 for full time or at least half-time undergraduate program at an eligible school located in Maine or the United States.

GEARUP Maine RISE provides FAME with a list of students who completed the GEAR UP Maine RISE Program with the following schools:

• Maine Academy of Natural Sciences
• MSAD 54 Skowhegan High School
• MSAD 4 Piscataquis High School
• MSAD 13 Upper Kennebec Valley High School
• RSU 84 East Grand School
• MSAD 20 Fort Fairfield High School
• RSU 89 Katahdin High School
• Stearns High School

Application Opening Date: In order to receive the scholarship, qualified students must submit the “GEAR UP Maine RISE Information Confirmation Form.”

Connect with the GEARUP Maine RISE Specialist at your high school to complete a GEARUP Maine RISE survey. If you completed a GEARUP Program and did not submit a survey prior to high school completion, connect with FAME or 207-623-3263, option 5, for the link to the "Information Confirmation" form after July 1, 2024 and before your 22nd birthday.
