REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The Finance Authority of Maine (“Authority”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the Maine Education Savings Program, also known as NextGen or NextGen 529, and its related Cash Allocation Account, for the fiscal years within the five-year period of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2023.

NextGen is an IRC Section 529 qualified tuition program administered by the Authority with Merrill Lynch serving as Program Manager. Most of the audit procedures will involve examining the work of Merrill Lynch or its affiliate having key locations in New Jersey, Florida and Texas, as well as Pennsylvania in regards to the Cash Allocation Account.
