Unitil Scholarship Fund

The applicant must reside (primary address) and attend a school located in one of the cities/towns in Unitil service territories. Location eligibility can be verified at www.unitil.com/MEterritory. The applicant must also be enrolled in a degree program with a declared major or concentration in science, technology, engineering, or math.

The application and additional information can be found on the Unitil website.

The following items must accompany the application:

a) An official transcript of high school grades.
b) A letter of recommendation from a science, technology, engineering, or math teacher, or high school principal, which also includes verification of major field of study, and the expected date of graduation.
c) An essay by applicant addressing career objectives, why he/she is applying for the scholarship and why he/she merits the scholarship above all others.

The Unitil Scholarship Committee will base its decision for awarding scholarships on a combination of factors including academic merit, financial need, other scholarships awarded, outside student activities and other relevant factors such as the number of hours worked outside of class during the school year. Students must be pursuing a major in science, technology, engineering, or math.

The deadline to submit your completed application is Thursday, March 31, 2022 and recipients will be notified of selection by mail no later than April 30, 2022.
