Note: Only the Client Direct Series enrollment materials will be mailed directly to you, are available from this site, or can be picked up at a participating Maine bank near you. To request a $200 Initial Matching Grant, complete and submit the 2008 Grant Certification with your Account Application.
Contribution Options:
Effective January 1, 2008, the NextGen maximum contribution limit per beneficiary is $320,000.
No initial contribution is required to open a NextGen account if you choose one of the automatic contribution options. There is a $50 minimum monthly contribution requirement to participate in NextGen’s automated funding service.
To have automatic contributions come from Payroll Direct Deposit, check box (c) in Section 8 and complete Section 11 of the NextGen Account Application.
To have automatic contributions come from a bank account, check box (b) in Section 8 and complete Section 10 of the NextGen Account Application.
To submit an initial contribution, check box (a) in Section 8 of the NextGen Account Application. Make check(s) payable to "NextGen College Investment Plan FBO [designated beneficiary]". Please issue a separate check for each NextGen account opened. Only one beneficiary per check.
To submit additional contributions, contribution coupons are available for your convenience.
NOTE: The NextGen First Step Grant is available regardless of your family income. In addition, if your family adjusted gross income in 2007 was $75,000 or less, you can combine the $50 First Step Grant with the $200 Initial Matching Grant to make a $250 contribution to open the account. No other initial contribution is required.
To Open Your NextGen Account Simply Forward:
Your completed and signed Client Direct Series Account Application; and
Your completed and signed 2008 Grant Certification (if applicable); and
Your initial contribution check (if applicable).
