Be sure to sign the Addendum to the Account Application if you are eligible for the Alfond Grant or Initial Matching Grant. 2. Mail the Application to FAME. Be sure to include the Addendum to the Account Application and your initial contribution, if required. Text Box: Contribution Options: Effective January 1, 2009, the NextGen maximum contribution limit per beneficiary is $340,000. • If the beneficiary is eligible for the $500 Harold Alfond College Challenge: An initial contribution is not required to open the NextGen account. Sign the Addendum to the Account Application. • If the account is being funded through automatic contributions from a bank account: An initial contribution is not required to open the NextGen account. Complete the Section 10 of the Account Application. • If the account is being funded through automatic contributions from payroll direct deposit: An initial contribution is not required to open the NextGen account. Complete Section 11 of the Account Application. • If the beneficiary is eligible for a $200 Initial Matching Grant: An initial contribution of at least $50 is required to open the NextGen account. Sign the Application Addendum. • If none of the above, an initial contribution of $250 is required to open the NextGen account. You may elect an automated contribution method now, but automated contributions can only begin after the account is opened and an account number is assigned.
