Commercial Loan Review and Credit Services


This Request for Responses (“RFR”) is issued by the Finance Authority of Maine (“FAME”) for the purpose of soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms and contractors interested in providing commercial loan review, field audits and credit underwriting services for FAME.

Regional Economic Development Revolving Loan Program


In anticipation of the availability of additional funding, the Finance Authority of Maine (“FAME”) seeks applicants to respond to this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for funding to operate regional economic development revolving loan funds as set forth in Title 10 Maine Revised Statutes Section 1026-M and Chapter 314 of the FAME Rules. The Regional Economic Development Revolving Loan Program, administered by FAME, permits eligible local, regional or statewide nonprofit or governmental economic development organizations to apply for funding to establish or expand revolving loan funds within their organizations. Funds may only be used to make loans of up to $350,000 to eligible business borrowers in order to create or retain jobs in Maine, as well as revitalize downtowns and build strong communities and a sustainable economy in Maine.

    At its April 16, 2015 meeting, the Board of Directors of the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) approved 90% loan insurance on a $3.5 million loan by Caisse Centrale Desjardins US Branch to Polycor New England, Inc. (“Polycor NE”) to help finance the purchase of a quarry and the construction of a curb manufacturing facility in North Jay, Maine. The quarry acquisition and curb manufacturing facility represent the company’s first investments in Maine and are expected to create twenty direct jobs in Western Maine.
