	Maine’s College Graduates Where They Go and Why: Finding Maine’s Future Workforce (Revisited 2006)
A follow-up to the 2003 report, a one-of-a-kind study that sought to determine what factors influenced where Maine’s high-school graduates chose to attend college as well as to live and work after college. Maine’s leaders needed data to inform a plan to further transform Maine’s public higher-education system and to achieve the 2010 target of 70% of high-school seniors enrolling in college. These studies were undertaken and goals established in the interests of improving Maine’s competitive edge and providing Maine’s current and prospective employers with a diverse, highly-qualified workforce. Where They Go and Why: Finding Maine's Future Workforce (2003) A 2003 report detailing the results of a comprehensive survey of Maine college graduates. Major findings include new information and insights about the so-called "Brain-Drain", the role of reputation and quality in Maine Higher Education, and the rate at which students who initially leave Maine to pursue Higher Education return to complete their degrees.
