College Savings Program Operations and Outreach Specialist

FAME is seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to become its College Savings Program Operations and Outreach Specialist. This individual is responsible for the day to day operations and outreach efforts of the College Savings Program initiatives, including but not limited to the NextGen College Investing Plan and the grant administration and operational support of the Harold Alfond College Challenge.   This position reports directly to FAME’s College Savings Program Manager.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education and work experience requirements:

  • Four (4) year degree in related field is required (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience), plus demonstrated successful project management.
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years related experience.
  • Strong computer, time management, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must possess a positive, results-oriented attitude to achieve program goals.
  • Effective skills in interpersonal relations, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter with proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Works both independently and interacts well with management and peers.

Marketing Communications Intern

FAME is seeking an effective team member to become its Marketing/Communications Intern for the summer of 2017. This position entails working on projects to build yearly editorial content calendar and develop social media content for both education and business lines. Acting as an in-house professional editor and proofreader for all communications, the marketing/communications intern will write, edit and execute website changes, marketing email communications, electronic newsletters and webinar content. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the evaluation of marketing strategies using tools such as Google Analytics. Projects include but are not limited to content and social media development, voice-of-the-customer research, traditional direct marketing campaign implementation, and other marketing communications tasks as assigned. You will receive training in current and traditional marketing tactics such as direct mail, print collateral and radio/television production and execution.

This position is a paid internship and will be performed for 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August, 2017.

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum education and work experience requirements:

  • Some college, preferably enrolled in communications, marketing, business or related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including proofreading and editing.
  • Strong computer skills with significant experience in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; training in graphic design, writing, WordPress, social media publishing, and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
