Getting Started

 It's easy and convenient:

1. Visit a Maine bank or financial advisor near you for NextGen enrollment materials; or
2. Download NextGen enrollment materials from this site or
3. Request that NextGen enrollment materials be mailed directly to you.

Everything you need to open your college savings account can be downloaded here.

• NextGen Client Direct Series Enrollment Kit - Contains the Program Description, Account Application, and other information about what it means to be a NextGen account owner. Note:  You will need the social security number and date of birth for yourself and your spouse (if any), the beneficiary and successor owner (if named).
• Addendum to Account Application - To self-certify eligibility and receive a $200 NextGen Initial Matching Grant or $500 Harold Alfond College Challenge Grant.
• Terms and Conditions for the Harold Alfond College Challenge and NextGen Initial Matching Grant—Contains important information about the Harold Alfond College Challenge and the NextGen Initial Matching Grant.
