Verbal Distributions Now Available

NextGen is pleased to announce the ability to initiate withdrawals from NextGen account(s) verbally. This convenient service allows account owners to authorize the Program Manager (Merrill Lynch) to distribute funds from their NextGen account(s) via check or wire transfer. The NextGen verbal distribution process will eliminate the need for paperwork and create a better customer service experience by allowing requests to be processed at point of call. All NextGen distribution and trade settlement guidelines will still apply.  Click here to view information on how to request a verbal distribution from your NextGen account.

Grant Programs

·         Harold Alfond College Challenge—Contains the Terms and Conditions and an Addendum to the Account Application to certify eligibility to receive a $500 Harold Alfond College Challenge Grant.

·         NextGen Initial Matching Grant — Contains the Terms and Conditions and an Addendum to the Account Application to self-certify eligibility to receive a $200 NextGen Initial Matching Grant.

·         NextGen Annual Matching GrantNote: The Annual Matching Grant terminated January 1, 2010.  .

Account Servicing Forms

·        Contribution Coupons
Use this coupon to make additional cash contributions to your NextGen account. Complete a separate coupon for each NextGen account to which you would like to make contributions.
Note: One beneficiary per check. The aggregate account balance limit is $340,000 per beneficiary (effective January 1, 2010).

·        Automated Funding Service Enrollment/Change Authorization Form
Use this form to enroll in NextGen's Automated Funding Service (AFS) and initiate automated contributions through a checking or savings account to an existing NextGen account. You may also use this form to terminate or change existing AFS instructions for your NextGen account.

·         Payroll Deduction Allocation Form
Use this form to initiate new payroll deduction instructions or to change existing payroll allocation percentages between NextGen accounts. To change the dollar amount of an existing payroll deduction or to cancel an existing deduction, please contact your employer.
Note: When you initiate new payroll deduction instructions, you will receive an Authorization for Payroll Deduction Form from the program manager, which you must provide to your employer to begin the processing of your payroll deduction.

·         Client Direct Series Change of Beneficiary Form
Use this form if you are invested in NextGen's Client Direct Series and wish to change the beneficiary on an existing NextGen account.  Contact your financial advisor if you are invested in NextGen's Client Select Series. 

·         Change of Participant Form
Use this form to transfer all of the assets from your existing NextGen account to a new Participant (account owner). Upon the change of account owner on a NextGen account, the new account owner assumes all rights of ownership described in the NextGen Program Description.
Note:  New account owners must also complete and submit a NextGen Account Application before a change in ownership can be processed.

·         Incoming Rollover Form
Use this form to roll over all or part of the balance of an account from another state's 529 plan, a Coverdell Education Savings account (ESA), or in connection with the liquidation of qualifying Series EE or I U.S. savings bonds to a NextGen account. If you do not already have a NextGen account, you must also complete a NextGen account Application.
Note: If you would like to transfer assets from an existing NextGen account to another NextGen account for a different Designated Beneficiary, you must complete a NextGen Change of Beneficiary Form.

·         Client Direct Series Investment Change Form
Use this form if you are invested in NextGen's Client Direct Series and wish to initiate an investment change to your NextGen account. Account owners may change how previous contributions and any earnings thereon have been allocated for the same beneficiary once per calendar year or upon a change of the beneficiary. This form also initiates an investment change of future contributions, which may be changed at any time.
Contact your financial advisor if you are invested in NextGen's Client Select Series.

·         Matching Grant Withdrawal and Certification Form
Use this form to request a withdrawal of the matching grant funds held in your NextGen account to pay for qualified higher education expenses.
Note: The Matching Grant Withdrawal and Certification Form must accompany the NextGen 529 Withdrawal Request Form.

·         Client Direct Series Withdrawal Request Form
Use this form if you are invested in NextGen's Client Direct Series and wish to request a withdrawal from your NextGen account. If you would like funds distributed to more than one recipient, please complete a withdrawal form for each recipient.
